Complete Dentures

Complete dentures replace all your upper and/or lower teeth. With time, denture teeth wear, supporting tissue and bone change, altering the bite, fit, and function. Getting new dentures every 5–7 years optimizes fit and function, helping maintain overall health.

Adjustments are normal during the first 6 months and are done at no charge. Our Denturists carry out extensive measurements of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) to create dentures that replicate natural jaw movements.

What to Expect

Adapting to New Dentures

Adapting to dentures is a process that varies from person to person. While initial discomfort is common, most patients adjust within a few weeks as the muscles in the cheeks and tongue learn to support and stabilize the appliance.

Our team provides post-insertion check-ups to make timely adjustments and guidance on dietary modifications and oral care habits during the adjustment period.

During the First Few DaysMinor soreness, increased saliva production, and temporary difficulty with speech or chewing are all normal and expected.
Tips for AdjustmentEat soft foods, cut items into smaller pieces, and practise speech at home to support a smoother transition.

Same-Day Placement

Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures are made in conjunction with extractions. For most patients, they can be made prior to extractions and inserted at the time of the procedure — acting as a splint to control bleeding, promote healing, and maintain appearance.

These dentures require maintenance throughout the first year due to considerable changes in bone after extractions. Temporary linings followed by a processed lining will be necessary. The first temporary lining is included in the original fee.

  • Maintains appearance directly after extractions
  • Supports healing and protects extraction sites
  • Allows continued function during recovery
  • Helps patients adapt to dentures earlier
  • Enables speech and basic chewing soon after surgery

Missing Some Teeth

Partial Dentures

If you're missing a few teeth, you may need a partial denture. Our Denturists design a removable prosthesis in harmony with your remaining teeth using metal clasping for retention — making them strong and light.

Having a partial denture to fill in the spaces of missing teeth helps retain the remaining teeth and ensures better eating, appearance, and overall oral health. It's advisable to have partial dentures checked every 12 months.

  • Helps chew without any issues
  • Prevents existing teeth from shifting and decaying
  • Helps prevent jaw joint issues
  • Allows comfortable speaking and smiling
  • Does not require crowning teeth for fitting

Added Comfort

Soft Linings for Lower Dentures

For patients with a poor lower ridge, a soft lining provides an added degree of comfort. This silicone-based material is incorporated into the lower denture at processing and does not come out.

This durable lining has proven very popular — patients who have experienced the soft liner are typically very pleased with the additional comfort achieved. Call for a free consultation to find out if you're a candidate.
